Foxconn Intends to Hire 3,000 Veterans in Wisconsin

(Mount Pleasant) Foxconn is setting a goal to hire three-thousand veterans by the time the company is fully operational in Wisconsin.  Governor Scott Walker’s Office says the first three employees in the state are veterans of the U-S Navy, Army and Marine Corps.  Foxconn officials say the company is committed to hiring graduates of the Academy of Advanced Manufacturing which plans to train a thousand veterans a year by 2020.  Foxconn currently has about 100 employees in the state working in the Milwaukee headquarters and experimental production facility in Mount Pleasant.  President Donald Trump is expected to attend the Foxconn groundbreaking ceremony on Thursday.
