Fox Lake Man Charged In High Speed Chase

7/12/17 – Cash bond was set at $2,000 dollars Tuesday for a Fox Lake man accused of running from police in the Town of Ashippun. Dylan Farber is facing one felony count of Fleeing an Officer. On Friday, the Dodge County Sheriff’s office received multiple calls of theft and vandalism throughout the south-eastern portion of Dodge County perpetrated by unknown individuals in a mini-van. As the deputy was investigating, another call came in reporting a vehicle crash on Washington Road and the registration matched that of the van. When the officer arrived two bystanders who called in the accident were pointing north to a corn field. A van then exited the corn field and sped off. The deputy clocked the vehicle travelling near speeds of 100-miles-per-hour and was apparently able to identify Farber as the driver from previous contacts. The chase was called off but the suspect was apprehended later by the Oconomowoc Police Department. The 30-year-old was reportedly confused and lethargic after being taken into custody. If convicted, Farber faces three-and-a-half years in prison. A preliminary hearing is set for next week.
