Fox Lake Loan Refinancing Approved

The Board of Commissioners of Public Lands (BCPL) has approved two State Trust Fund Loans totaling $947,000 to the city of Fox Lake to refinance road construction debt. The entity approved loans totaling $7.6-million dollars at this week’s meeting, which includes refinancing of two Fox Lake road projects; one totaling $557-thousand and the other $390-thousand. The public lands board operates entirely on program revenue, without taxpayer money, and distributes more than 96-cents of every dollar of interest earned on the board’s State Trust Fund investments to Wisconsin’s public schools.  The 2018 earnings of $35.7 million are the sole source of state funding for K-12 public school library materials.
