Former Fox Lake Corrections Officer Accused Of Smuggling Contraband

11/22/17 – A former Fox Lake Correctional officer is accused of smuggling contraband to an inmate. Peggy Noll of Watertown is facing one felony count of Delivering Illegal Articles to an Inmate. In September of 2016, a confidential informant told officers that a prisoner was in possession of a cell phone. Over the course of the investigation, several months’ worth of food and clothing items unavailable to inmates were located in the prisoner’s cell. Investigators were able to identify Noll’s voice from phone conversations with the inmate. In talking with officers, Noll denied bringing in any contraband and said (quote), “nothing happened here.” If convicted, the 58-year-old faces up to three-and-a-half-years in prison. Noll is scheduled to make her initial appearance in court on December 4.
