Update: Five Injured In Apartment Fire

(Beaver Dam) Fire crews continue to battle a blaze at Executive Apartment Building on 600 West Third Street that was reported shortly after 6am Saturday morning. Beaver Dam Fire Captain Paul Hartl says after arriving on scene mutual aid was requested by 12 other fire departments. Multiple occupants needed to be rescued from the fire and five individuals were taking to local hospitals for treatment. No update has been giving on their condition and an accountability report is still be done for all tenants of the building. Hartl says there is a lot of water moving through the city system currently which could result in some citizens having cloudy water. Surrounding residents have been evacuated due to heavy smoke in the area. Hartl says efforts to completely suppress the fire are getting close and tenants of the Executive have been bussed to the Watermark to take shelter.
