FEMA Teams Will Be In The Region Monday Conducting Damage Assessments

(Dodge County) Federal Emergency Management teams will be in the area Monday to conduct a preliminary damage assessment in 17 counties hit the hardest by flooding and tornadoes. That includes Dodge and Fond du Lac counties – where more than a dozen tornados touched down – along with Columbia, Green Lake and Jefferson counties which experienced extensive flooding. Five teams will assess damage to homes and businesses and three teams will assess damage to public infrastructure. Individual Assistance Team Four will begin Ozaukee County then move on to Jefferson, Dodge, Fond du Lac, Green Lake and then Marquette. Public Assistance Team Three will cover Dane, Dodge and Ozaukee Counties. The information that gathered will be provided to Governor Scott Walker who will make a determination if the state should request a federal disaster declaration.
