February 23rd: Banana Bread and Tootsie Rolls

Best Ever Banana Bread

1 ¾ c. all purpose flour

1 ½ c. granulated sugar

1 tsp. baking soda

½ tsp. salt

2 eggs

½ c. vegetable oil

2 ripe medium bananas, mashed (1 c.)

¼ c. + 1 Tbsp. buttermilk

1 tsp. vanilla

1 c. chopped walnuts

In large bowl, stir together the flour, sugar, baking soda & salt. In separate bowl, combine the eggs, bananas, vegetable oil, buttermilk and vanilla. Add creamed mixture to dry. Stir just until combined. Fold in nuts. Pour into 9×5” loaf pan. Bake at 325° for 1 hour and 20 minutes, or until test comes clean.
