Fatal Crash Near Lodi Leaves One Dead, One Seriously Injured

(Lodi) One person was killed and another seriously injured in a single vehicle accident Tuesday afternoon in Columbia County. Sheriff Dennis Richards says a car was westbound on Reynolds Road in the Town of Lodi when the driver hit the shoulder, went into the ditch and overturned. The 65-year-old woman driving the car was transported to UW Hospital by MedFlight. A 62-year-old male passenger was pronounced dead at the scene. Alcohol is not believed to be a factor but the speed of the vehicle remains under investigation. Both occupants were wearing seatbelts. The accident happened just after 4pm; Reynolds Road was closed for approximately three-and-a-half hours. The names of the occupants are being withheld pending notification of family.
