Fall River Man Jailed For Police Chase

11/6/17 – A Fall River man will spend one month in jail with work release privileges for running from police. Daniel Kidd was sentenced Monday after pleading guilty to reduced misdemeanor charges of Resisting to Stop and Obstructing an Officer. In September, a Dodge County deputy was conducting a routine building check in the Township of Elba when he observed Kidd traveling at a high rate of speed along State Highway 73. During the pursuit the deputy clocked Kidd’s vehicle at speeds in excess of 95 miles-per-hour. Kidd veered of the road at Old State Highway 73 and, after a short foot chase, he was apprehended. Law enforcement noted a strong odor of intoxicants coming from the 32-year-old and bloodshot eyes. Kidd blew a point-one-five-one (.151) during a preliminary breath test. In addition to 30 days in jail, Kidd was placed on probation for four years.
