Youth Tractor Machinery Safety

Jefferson County Youth Tractor & Machinery Safety Certification Program will kick-off on Saturday, January 5th from 8:00 a.m. – 12:30 p.m. for youth to come with a parent and learn about the tractor safety program. Parents may leave or are welcome to stay after the 45 minute class orientation. The youth will meet for the rest of the morning, in addition to the Saturday mornings of January 19, 26, and February 2, 9 and 16 from 8:00 a.m. – noon for instruction. This certification program is offered for all Wisconsin youth ages 12-16, including those from neighboring counties. Pre-registration for the course must be completed by January 2nd. Students will complete a written exam on February 16 as part of that morning’s class. In addition, the youth must pass a driving test which will be held on May 7th from 3:30 – 6:00 p.m. Classroom instruction and the written exam will be held at the Jefferson County UW-Extenstion office and the driving exam will be held at the Jefferson County Fair Park.
Fee: $35 for those registered no later than January 2nd. After that date the fee will be $45.
