Dodge County Vehicle Sales Bolstered By Trucks

(Dodge County) Vehicle sales in Dodge County are outpacing 2017 totals, bolstered by brisk truck sales. According to the Waterloo-based industry tracking firm Reg-Trak, there have been 3117-vehicle sales in the first ten months of the year, up nearly five-percent from the 2980 sold during the same period last year. Car sales were down 27-percent while truck sales were up 13-percent. In Columbia County, there were 2259 vehicles sold through October, 34 less than last year running tally, a decrease of just over one-percent. Car sales were down almost 18-percent while truck sales were two-and-a-half-percent higher. Jefferson County dropped just over one-percent with 2267 vehicles sold this year, 31 less than in 2017. For the nine-county, south-central Wisconsin region as a whole vehicle sales through last month totaled around 39,500 down one-percent from the 39,900 sold through October of 2017. Car sales in the region are down 18-percent while truck sales are up six-percent.
