10/28/17 – The Dodge County Sheriff has a message of Halloween safety this weekend. Sheriff Dale Schmidt encourages parents to watch their children, put them in bright-colored clothing, warn them not to dart out in the streets and check their candy. He also encourages kids without their parents to “hunt in packs” and go out as a group, which would keep away potential predators who may be on the lookout for a victim. Schmidt says members of his Dodge County Explorers group, which is a law enforcement program for area youth, will be in select communities throughout the county this weekend.
