(Dodge County) The Dodge County Forage Council will be hosting it’s annual Winter meeting on Friday February 15th 2019. The day will begin with a morning presentation by Dr. Damon Smith, Associate Professor and Extension specialist, about how to manage tar spot after a challenging 2018 season. Afternoon presentations will include 2018 Forages: The Good, The Bad, and The Ugly with Mark Kirk of Rock River Labs, Equipment Options for your Operation with Rebecca Binsfeld of Compeer Financial; and UW Extension Programming and Updates with Amanda Young, Dodge County UW Extension Dairy and Livestock Agent. The day will also include a catered noon lunch and Forage Contest in which producers in attendance can bring their best forage to be judged by their peers in the categories of Dry Hay, Baleage, Haylage, and Corn Silage. Registration is requested by Monday, February 11th, 2019 with a late fee being charged for registration after February 12th. Registration fees include access to the program, an Edit’s catered meal, materials, and annual Dodge County Forage Council dues.
