(Beaver Dam) There will be no increase in the entry fee to get into the Dodge County Fair this year but there will be a small change. The Fair Association’s Board of Directors held their annual meeting Saturday in Beaver Dam. Association Board Secretary Sharon Keil says ticket prices will remain the same at $7 and $10. It will cost $7 to get into the fairgrounds until noon and then the price will increase to $10. In the past, the price had increased at 2pm.
As we reported this weekend, all four nights of entertainment have been announced. Wednesday night of the fair will feature the Badger State Tractor Pullers. Their first-ever appearance in Beaver Dam last year was cancelled due to rain. On Thursday, classic country act the Oak Ridge Boys return for the second year in a row. On Friday, country musician Chris Janson will be on the Grandstand Stage. Saturday night features classic rock acts Foghat and Grand Funk Railroad. Keil says she started to wonder if word had gotten out early when she heard WBEV Music Director Jeff Hall play both artists back-to-back last week. Hall says it was just a coincidence. The Dodge County Fair will be held August 15th-through-August 19th at the fairgrounds in Beaver Dam.
