Dodge County Airport Hosting Annual Pumpkin Drop Sunday

10/27/17 – Folks in the Dodge County-area will have an interesting option for getting rid of their pumpkins tomorrow.  The Dodge County Airport in Juneau is hosting the third annual ‘pumpkin drop contest.’  Competitors will fly in an aircraft that is roughly 200 to 300 feet above a large tarp with a giant ‘X’ and try to drop their pumpkin as close to that ‘X’ as possible.  Each person will get two drops. That will cost $30 if renting one of the airport’s planes or $10 if supplying one’s own aircraft.  The airport will supply pumpkins to anyone who comes without one.  There will be prizes for the top three places. The drop is weather permitting. The event will run from 9 am to 3 pm with food and refreshments available. Contact WisAv@WisconsinAviation.com or call 920-386-2402 to learn more or to RSVP.
