Dementia Concerns Coalition Hosting Community Education Program

(Juneau) An upcoming workshop is aimed at teaching the public how to better co-exist with people suffering from dementia. The class will focus on the tools needed to engage with the community and businesses in effort to become dementia friendly. Fawn Senn with the Dodge County-based Dementia’s Concern Coalition says attendees will have the opportunity to learn what it is like to live with dementia and be able to turn that understanding into action while discussing ways of implementing change. The Train the Trainer Workshop is on Wednesday (August 8) beginning at 10:30am and running until 2:30pm. The event will take place at the Henry Dodge Office Building in Juneau located on 199 County Road DF.
