DECEMBER 20TH – FRIED SHRIMP, SANGRIA

Winter Sangria

Heat 4 cups red wine, ¼ c. sugar and ½ cinnamon stick or (1/2 tsp. ground cinnamon) in medium saucepan over MEDIUM-LOW heat just until sugar dissolves. Transfer to large pitcher and let cool. Mix in ½ c. Grand Marnier (or Triple Sec), 3 clementine’s (sliced or cut into pieces) and 2 Bartlett pears (cut into 1/2” pieces); let sit for at least 15 minutes or refrigerate for up to 3 days. When ready to serve, mix in 2 c. blackberry or black cherry soda. Serve over ice.
