DECEMBER 10TH: LAGER

Leinie’s Veggie Delight 

Basic Beer Bread:

3 c. self rising flour

3 Tbsp. sugar

1 (12oz.) Leinenkugel’s Creamy Dark beer, at room temperature

Sauté:

2 tsp. extra virgin olive oil (basil flavored is recommended)

1 c. red onion, chopped

1 c. yellow pepper, chopped

1 c. red pepper, chopped

When veggies become softened, add:

1 ½ c. mushrooms, chopped

2 c. spinach

2 Tbsp. pesto sauce

Continue to sauté ingredients in frying pan until spinach and mushrooms are cooked. Mix flour, sugar and beer in large bowl until well combined. Fold all ingredients into dough and bake in bread pan or an 8×11” pan for 1 hour at 350°.
