Contested Beaver Dam Aldermanic Races Taking Shape

(Beaver Dam) There may be a couple contested Beaver Dam aldermanic races this spring. The period for filing paperwork to run in the spring election is underway. Ward Five incumbent Alderman Mick Fischer is facing an apparent challenge from Betsy Ramsdale; both candidates have submitted their nomination papers complete with signatures. In Ward Seven, Jack Yuds has also submitted all of his paperwork. Yuds would be challenging longtime alderman and council president Robert Ballweg if Ballweg submits the rest of his paperwork by the January 2nd deadline. Ward Three Alderman Jon Abfall has all his paperwork in but could see a challenge from Doug Garcsynsky, who is circulating papers. The deadline for incumbent candidates to file paperwork indicating that they will not be seeking re-election is close of business on December 21.
