Columbus School District Planning New Classes

(Columbus) Columbus Schools are planning five NEW classes for the 2017/2018 school year. A course introducing students to “Wisconsin Fish and Aquaculture” will be offered every other year alternating with “Wisconsin Forestry and Wildlife.” They will replace the course on Natural Resources. “Greenhouse Management” will be a new course replacing Plant Science. “Horticulture” will be another new offering… an introductory course exposing students to how plants are grown and used by humans. “Veterinary Science” is the new science course that will introduce students to veterinary medicine and animal health.
The fifth new class will be “Communications Arts.” Focus will be on speaking and listening activities.
