(Columbus) Outdated facilities were among the topics addressed Wednesday night at a school board candidates forum assembled at Columbus City Hall. Four candidates are vying for three open seats.
Bill Braun, who is nearing the end of his second term on the board, had some strong views about the age of the current education facilities.
Barb Hesselberg agreed in the need of newer facilities and believes trust from the community could lead to such a referendum.
Julie Hajewski, who is making her second attempt to earn a seat on the school board, has a more positive view on the state of the aging buildings.
Jack Sanderson, however, believes the facilities available right now are sufficient enough and sees no real need for new construction.
There will be a candidates forum for the Columbus aldermanic races Thursday night (3/22) at city hall beginning at 7:30pm.
