Busy Day For Randolph Fire Department

3/11/17 – The Randolph Fire Department hand their hands full yesterday, responding to a vehicle fire on Highway FW. Fire Chief Bruce Miller says the call came in at around 10:40am, while they were assisting in a basement structure fire in Fox Lake. Miller says when they got the call one person was trapped inside the vehicle but when crews arrived the individual was waiting outside. On their way to the vehicle fire a Randolph Fire Department truck was struck by a Ford Fiesta. The collision took place at the intersection of Pleasant Road and Highway P. The driver was transported to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. The car fire lasted an hour and no serious injuries were reported but Miller adds the motorist was taking to the hospital for observation. The fire is still under investigation.
