(Beaver Dam) The Beaverland Must-Skis will be again holding their learn to ski event during Beaver Dam Lake Days. The educational opportunity is open to children and adults looking to learn more about water skiing with instruction provided by members of the nationally-ranked show-ski team. Tom Stebbins of the Must-Skis talks about the importance of this event saying the learn to ski clinic has been an important staple of the Beaver Dam Lake Days for years. Anywhere from 40 to 50 kids will get on the water who have never done so before. They match kids with equipment, getting vests and skis on them before matching them up with members of the Must-Skis who will guide in the water. If you want to see the biggest smiles you have ever seen, sit in the boat and look back and when the kids get up on the water they have a smile you swear is 3 feet wide. Stebbins says the sport has skiers of many ages and encourages those looking to learn more to take advantage of the opportunity. The clinic will be held on Saturday July 7th from 8am till noon with a cost of $15 dollars per person. The Must-skis will also be performing during Lake Days, which is in its 25th year.
