Beaver Dam Woman Convicted Of Election Fraud

(Beaver Dam) A Beaver Dam woman was ordered to pay a $150 fine for illegally casting a ballot in November of 2016. Breana Brock entered a no contest plea Tuesday and was found guilty of felony Election Fraud – Voting By a Disqualified Person. The 19-year-old was convicted of felony Possession of Narcotic Drugs in July of last year, losing her ability to vote until her civil rights are restored with the successful completion of probation which would have been July of last year. Brock told investigators that she did not realize until after the election that she could not vote as a convicted felon. She said she never actually went to court and did not understand the Plea Questionnaire/Waiver of Rights document her attorney gave her to sign. If Brock is unable to pay the fine she must serve 30 days in jail.
