Beaver Dam Trap Team Wraps Up Successful Conference Season

The Beaver Dam varsity trap team finished the conference season with a strong record of 7 wins and 1 loss. The one loss came by one point in the last meet against Hartford. The JV split their season with a record of 5 wins and 4 losses. Last Saturday at the Kettle Moraine Conference Championships, the varsity team placed first place overall out of 19 high school teams with  a score of 487 birds shot out of a possible high score of 500. The JV team shot a score of 455 and placed second overall. During the competition, the varsity team had a score of 100 with a perfect tie breaking round of an additional 25 of 25. In addition to the varsity teams 100 straight and 75 straight successful shots, the team had two students shooting 50 straight. Out of 39 shooters, 22 had perfect rounds of 25 out of 25 shot by 11 shooters.

The public is welcomed to attend the annual Beaver Dam Memorial Day Weekend Invite. Over 560 students are registered for the competition that will be held today through Sunday at the Beaver Dam Conservationists Club grounds.
