Beaver Dam School District Audit Positive

(Beaver Dam) An audit of the finances of Beaver Dam School District for last year turned up nothing of consequence. Senior Manager Paul Frantz with Baker Tilly in Milwaukee told the school board Monday night that the objective of an external audit is for auditors to come in and express an opinion on the financial statements of the district. The auditors gave Beaver Dam an “unmodified opinion” which is the highest level of assurance that can be given by an auditor. Frantz says that means that the financial information is fairly stated, up-to-date with all required accounting standards and all principles have been applied consistently from year-to-year.
