6/13/17 – The Beaver Dam School Board last night adopted changes to the current budget to reflect the $49-million-dollar referendum that was approved by voters in the fall. Director of Business Service Anne-Marie Woznicki says the amended budget includes the $39-million dollars that has been borrowed to date. Previous debt in the district totaled just under $8-million dollars. In the next fiscal year the district will be borrowing the remaining $10-million allowed under the referendum bringing total district debt up to around $57-million dollars. The 2016-17 fiscal year ends June 30. Meanwhile, during an update on the districtwide construction projects funded by the referendum last night, school officials said that the district has officially transitioned from the planning stage to the construction phase. The board will see a three-dimensional walk-though of the high school at next month’s meeting.
