Beaver Dam School Board Adopts 2018-19 Budget

(Beaver Dam) The Beaver Dam School Board last (Monday) night adopted the district budget for the current school year. The $47.5-million-dollar document includes a tax levy of $15.4-million dollars, down from $15.83-million. The mill rate would be $9.39 cents per $1000 of assessed value, a decrease of 60-cents from the last school year. The district received $22.1-million dollars in state aid, an increase of over $1.8-million dollars. Equalized property values in the school district increased by 3.49-percent over last year’s valuation. Salaries and benefits comprise around d 69-percent of the total budget while debt is just under ten-percent.
