Beaver Dam Police Chief Says Chaplain Vital To Department

(Beaver Dam) Beaver Dam Police Chief John Kreuziger believes having a chaplain on staff is crucial to his department’s well-being.  Mark Jensen, who was reassigned to a church in Pennsylvania last year, was replaced by Dan Seehafer. Seehafer has been an ordained minister for the past 20-years. Several officers he knew suggested he be the new chaplain Pastor. Kreuziger says the chaplain has been a great resource for the department. He says the department will be utilizing an Employee Assistance Program the city has developed in conjunction with the chaplain. The police force also added several peer officers to help to bolster the department’s support system which Kreuziger says will help officer’s better deal with difficult situations.
