(Beaver Dam) Beaver Dam Police Chief John Kreuziger provided an update for us on last month’s murder when he was guest Friday on WBEV’s Community Comment. Ulisses Medina Espinoza of Beaver Dam is charged with First Degree Intentional Homicide in the death of his ex-wife Stacia Hollinshead of Sycamore, Illinois. Kreuziger says they have collected a lot of evidence so far, including official documents from Illinois courts. Search warrants have been executed in Wisconsin and Illinois, including the victims home and workplace. He says the evidence is now being analyzed.
Kreuziger recently attended Hollinshead’s funeral in Illinois, where he had an opportunity to hug the five-year-old daughter left behind by the tragedy. He says it was “very, very sad.” He noted that in addition to family, friends and colleagues, the funeral was attended by prosecutors from Illinois and a large contingent of military personnel. Hollinshead spent eleven years as a intelligence analyst.
Kreuziger is encouraging the public to contribute to a fund established to help the child of the victim as part of the Beaver Dam Police Charities. The fund is coordinated through American Bank in Beaver Dam, donations can be made at all three locations in the city or online at:
