Beaver Dam Man Heading To Trial For Eleventh OWI

(Beaver Dam) A Beaver Dam man is heading to trial for his eleventh drunken driving offense after waiving his right to a preliminary hearing. Beaver Dam police pulled over Michael Clevenger’s vehicle last Monday night for reportedly blowing a red light. When asked to provide proof of insurance, he allegedly handed the officer an old traffic citation and a job application for Ho Chunk Casino. Clevenger’s speech was allegedly slurred and the 59-year-old was unable to stand for a field sobriety test. If convicted, Clevenger is facing up to 15 years in prison.
