Beaver Dam Man Charged With Seventh OWI

6/27/17 – Cash bond was set at $20-thousand dollars Monday for a Beaver Dam man facing charges of seventh offense Operating While Intoxicated. Randall Quiring was arrested Saturday afternoon for allegedly driving under the influence of alcohol and marijuana after crashing into a parked van on Wayland Street in Beaver Dam. According to the criminal complaint, the 52-year-old swerved to avoid hitting a cat before hitting a construction sign and then the AT&T van. Quiring reportedly admitted to smoking marijuana and drinking two or three 16-ounce beers before the crash. His blood alcohol level was approximately two-and-a-half-times the legal limit for driving at point-two-zero (.20). Quiring was first arrested for OWI in 1989 with his most recent conviction in 2009. A judge will decide next month if there is enough evidence to order a trial.
