Beaver Dam Man Accused Of Assaulting Police Officer

10/31/17 – Cash bond has been set at $10,000 dollars for a Beaver Dam man charged in separate incidents with assaulting police and threatening to stab his mother. Jesus Rodriquez is facing one felony count of Battery to a Law Enforcement Officer along with misdemeanor Resisting an Officer and Disorderly Conduct. Beaver Dam police responded to the Lakecrest Apartments in August and find Rodriguez recklessly griping his three-year-old nephew while attempting to fight-off his sister and police. Law enforcement was eventually able to remove the child from Rodriquez but in their efforts to subdue him, the suspect allegedly kicked and head-butted an officer. On Sunday, police were called to a domestic disturbance report involving Rodriquez. The 22-year-old reportedly threatened to beat and stab his mother. In talking with investigators, Rodriquez said that he believed that doctors were going to “sacrifice” him and that his mother was going to kill him. His mother reportedly told officers that her son does suffer from mental health problems and that he is getting more out of control. If convicted, Rodriquez faces over six years in prison.
