(Beaver Dam) Beaver Dam has been named the 16th safest city in the United States to raise a child. The designation comes from Safe Wise, an online safety resource that helps individuals, families and communities make informed decisions. SafeWise analyzes various statistics including violent crime, sex offenders, child abuse, school quality, state legislation and walkability. Beaver Dam Police Chief John Kreuziger told the common council this past Monday that the designation is really something to be proud of. Kreuziger presented a plaque from SafeWise to Beaver Dam Mayor Becky Glewen on Monday.
