Beaver Dam Girls Basketball Coach In Second Place Of Nationwide Contest

After one week of voting, Beaver Dam Girls Basketball Head Coach Tim Chase is in second place of a nationwide contest. Chase, along with Dodgeland Track and Cross Country Coach Kevin Klueger, are among 50 coaches from across the country competing for the U.S. Cellular Most Valuable Coach Program. The top coaches were selected based on the positive impacts they have on their players, school and city as well as their leadership qualities. Chase has seven-percent of the voting while Klueger has just under three-percent which places him at 14th. Fans have until October 8 to vote for their favorite coach on www.TheMostValuableCoach.com.

The final 15 coaches will be announced on October 11 with U.S. Cellular donating $5-thousand dollars to their schools. The three finalists will receive donations of $10-thousand, $20-thousand and $50-thousand dollars respectively. The first place coach will also be awarded a Samsung tech prize package valued at $30-thousand dollars. The winners will be announced on November 20.
