Beaver Dam Man Charged With Providing Drugs That Led To Overdose Death

(Beaver Dam) A Beaver Dam man has been charged with providing the drugs that killed a person in Reeseville. Jason Thompson is facing one felony count of First Degree Reckless Homicide as well as felony Bail Jumping. 62-year-old James Hook was found unresponsive in his apartment on February 9, 2016. Deputies reportedly found several prescription drug bottles on Hook’s coffee table and an autopsy revealed heroin was in his system. During the investigation, Thompson was allegedly mentioned as the individual who sold the heroin to Hook. If convicted, the 40-year-old faces up to 46-years in prison. An initial appearance in scheduled for April 2.
