Beaver Dam Business Robbed On New Year’s Eve

(Town of Beaver Dam) A Town of Beaver Dam business was robbed on New Year’s Eve. The Dodge County Sheriff’s Office says it is conducting a criminal investigation into an incident at the BP gas station on South Madison Street. Sheriff Dale Schmidt says a man entered around 9pm and demanded money from the employee. He fled with an undisclosed amount of cash and some checks from the business. There was no weapon displayed. Schmidt is advising financial institutions to verify the identity of anyone trying to cash checks made out to the BP gas station on December 31, 2016. The suspect is described as a white male, about five-feet seven-inches (5’ 7”) tall with a thin build. He was wearing a bandana or similar item over his face along with a hooded sweatshirt and blue jeans. There is no vehicle description at this time.
