Beaver Dam Boy’s Hockey Coach Jose Matamoros Joins The High School OT

Beaver Dam’s new boy’s hockey coach joined the High School OT last weekend. Jose Matamoros is a 2009 graduate of Waupun where he played two years of varsity hockey. Matamoros attended UW-Milwaukee and played a role in starting their club hockey program that competed in the Level Two Division of the American Collegiate Hockey Association. In 2014, the first year coach attended the Professional Umpire School in Florida and obtained a job umping minor league games with hopes of making it to Major’s. Matamoros also discusses the rivalry between Beaver Dam and Waupun, early season expectations and the professional lighting system that will soon be installed at the Beaver Dam Family Center. The High School OT airs Saturday’s at 8am on 95.3 WXRO.
