Beaver Dam Boys Basketball Team Looking For A Successful Year

The Beaver Dam boys’ basketball team is looking to build off of their successes from a year ago heading into the 2017-18 season. Last year, Tim Ladron’s squad went 23-2 and won their conference with a 13-1 record in the now defunct Wisconsin Little Ten. Despite the strong win totals, the Golden Beavers fell short of the Division 2 State Title, falling to Cedarburg in the WIAA Sectional in Hartford. Beaver Dam is bringing back a number of talented seniors including Sam Wilke, Dillion Livingston, Conner Cullen, and Justin Douma. Ladron says Wilke is a different player this year and has taking multiple steps forward. He adds that their depth is a strength with seniors Kyle Gebhardt and Kyle Gable playing important minutes for his squad. Ladron says playing in the Badger North this year brings new challenges and he has spent a lot of time watching film to better familiarize his team with the new opponents.
