(Beaver Dam) Organizers are reminding the public that nominations are still being accepted for the Beaver Dam School District’s 2018 Wall of Fame Awards. Honors are given in two categories: Friends of Education and Outstanding Alumni. Friends of Education are individuals or organizations who have given distinguished service to the district and its students. Outstanding Alumni are graduates of the high school recognized for exceptional accomplishments, outstanding leadership, historical significance and prominence on the local, state, national or international stage. The most recent was Emmy-award winning journalist and best-selling author Mary Pflum Peterson (pictured). Nomination packets are available at the Educational Service Center at 705 McKinley Street and on the district website at www.bdusd.org. Packets are due back by close of business on March 8. The district will honor the 2018 Wall of Fame recipients at their Wall of Fame Banquet on June 2. Award plaques will be permanently displayed on the high school’s new Wall Of Fame in the common’s area.
