BDCH Recognized For Safety Practices

11/4/17 – The Beaver Dam Community Hospital has been honored for the fifth consecutive year for their safety practices. The Leapfrog Group, which is a non-profit who focuses on quality and safety in American health care, awarded the hospital an ‘A’ grade for protecting patients from accidents, errors, injuries and infections. BDCH is also the first and only Wisconsin hospital to have received the Leapfrog Group’s prestigious Top Rural Hospital Award, earning that distinction each of the last three years. BDCH President and CEO Kim Miller said, “Our patients, residents and families have entrusted us with their care, and it’s gratifying to know the hard work put in by our physicians, providers and staff ensures that care is available to everyone in our region.” Of the 2,600 patients nationwide, only 112 hospitals have earned an ‘A’ grade each of the past five years.
