2/20/17 – The Beaver Dam Area Arts Association has hit their golden anniversary as an organization. This year marks the 50th year since the association put down roots in the city. Executive Director Jessalyn Braun says the group started as a non-profit in 1967 and has gone through different incarnations over the years, beginning as the Beaver Dam Arts Counsel. The arts association provides multiple opportunities for those who might not be so artistically inclined to learn more about art through classes and educational lessons, while also offering plenty of events for local artists to display their work to the public. To see their future exhibits or find out more about upcoming classes, you can visit them at www.bdaaa.org.
