Authorities Offering Reward For Wilderness Dormitory Fire

(Wisconsin Dells) A $10-thousand-dollar reward is being offered for information leading to the arrest and conviction of those behind a fire at an employee dormitory near the Wilderness Lodge in Wisconsin Dells. The Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives and its partners have determined the January 25th blaze to be an arson. The fire caused more than five-million dollars in damages. Officials say wilderness security noticed smoke at the construction site of the Wilderness Resort J-one dorm just before 4am. Officials say fire crews arrived to find the three-story new construction building engulfed in flames.  A nearby dormitory that was threatened by fire was immediately evacuated; two of them were damaged. The Wisconsin Arson Insurance Council provides rewards up to $5,000 based on whether the information provided leads to the identification of the person or persons responsible for the fire. ATF is contributing the other $5,000. Those with information can dial 1-888-ATF-FIRE, email [email protected] or submit an anonymous tip through the ReportIt app. When reporting, be sure to include as many details as possible and contact information for potential follow up.
