Authorities Identify Those Involved In Vehicle Versus Pedestrian Crash On Highway 151

(Town of Calamus) Authorities have identified the individuals involved in a vehicle versus pedestrian crash on Highway 151 that occurred early Tuesday morning. The preliminary investigation shows that Dustin Riggins of Madison was operating a Honda going northbound in the right/outside lane near Jackson Road in the Town of Calamus. Two pedestrians, Joanna Amidon of Fox Lake and Desmond Steward of Beaver Dam, were walking along the same traffic lane. Around 5:30am, the 24-year-old Amidon was struck by the right side of the vehicle and she was thrown into the grass area east of the Highway. The 25-year-old Riggins, who was not injured, stopped at the scene and is cooperating with law enforcement. The 44-year-old Steward was not injured but Amidon was transported to Beaver Dam Hospital with non-life threatening injures and was later flown by Flight for Life to UW Madison. The crash remains under investigation by the Dodge County Sheriff’s Office.
