(Reeseville) His defense attorney was there but a Carlisle, Pennsylvania man failed to appear in court Monday on charges that he assaulted two minors in Reeseville. An arrest warrant was issued for Steven Barlow, who is facing two felony counts of First Degree Child Sexual Assault Under 12 Years of Age. Last July, two girls notified their mother that they were assaulted a few years prior. According to the criminal complaint, the assaults occurred while Barlow was living with the victim’s family in Reeseville between 2015 and 2017. At that time the victims were between the ages of four and six. When contacted by authorities, Barlow at first denied the accusations and said if anything happened he did not remember. During subsequent conversations, Barlow allegedly admitted to the assaults and said it occurred only once or twice. If convicted, the 23-year-old is facing a maximum sentence of 120 years in prison.
