Picnic Biscuits

2 c. all purpose flour

1 Tbsp. baking powder

½ tsp. dry mustard

Dash of pepper

4 Tbsp. butter or margarine

½ lb. cooked ham, diced

1 c. shredded sharp Cheddar cheese

¾ c. milk

In large bowl, combine flour, baking powder, mustard & pepper. Cut into butter until mixture resembles coarse crumbs. Stir in ham & cheese. Add just enough milk for mixture to form a soft dough that leaves the sides of the bowl. Turn dough onto lightly floured surface & knead 6-8 times to mix thoroughly. Roll dough to ½” thickness & cut out with biscuit cutter. Place on ungreased cookie sheet about 1” apart. Bake at 450° for 12-15 minutes until golden 06 13 2008
