(Beaver Dam) The National Weather Service has confirmed another tornado from last Tuesday’s storms. The newest confirmation brings the total number of confirmed tornados to 17. The weather service says the latest was a EF-0 near Brandon in Fond du Lac County that traveled just over six-tenths of a mile with wind gusts of 70mph. Dodge County had two tornados previously confirmed. Meanwhile, approximately 75 Wisconsin National Guard soldiers completed their mission Monday of filling sandbags in Columbia County. More than 10-thousand sandbags were filled and 8500 were placed at Interstate-90/94 near Highway 33 and Interstate-39 near Cascade Mountain Road. Portions of the interstates were closed or down to single lanes due to high water. While both I-39 and I-90/94 are now open, many county and local roads around the state remain closed due to floodwaters.
