Ann T. Westover

Ann Westover, age 81 of Beaver Dam, passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, March 17, 2019 at St. Mary’s Hospital in Madison.

Ann was born to the late Antonio and Giavanna (nee Conte) DeCaprio on June 3, 1937 in Brooklyn, NY. Ann married the late Robert F. Westover on May 8, 1953 and together they lived in Wisconsin before relocating to Arizona.  Prior to her retirement, Ann had been employed for more than 25 years with the State of Arizona, Pinal County working in the Public Health Division.  She compassionately assisted and cared for countless people over the course of her career.

Ann will be fondly remembered as a fierce competitor. She loved playing card and board games and was ruthless in her skill. Ann was an avid bowler traveling to compete in numerous tournaments throughout the United States; her favorite being in Las Vegas. As her health and body deteriorated, she continued with these hobbies through Wii bowling and activities at The Watermark in Beaver Dam.

Ann had a strong faith in God and was a member of St. Katharine Drexel Parish. A private family Mass will take place in her honor. She was immensely proud of her family and leaves behind nothing but fond memories.  Ann will be deeply missed by all who loved her and knew her well.

Ann is survived by six children: Robert Westover, Reeseville, WI, Michael (Theresa) Westover, Mesa, AZ, Teresa (Russell) Prze, Eloy, AZ, Lorrie (Daniel) Luck, Randolph, WI, Patti (Patrick) Sadoski, Beaver Dam, WI, and Rebecca (Scott) Zapata, Mesa, AZ.  She is also survived by twelve grandchildren, six great-grandchildren; one brother, Michael DeCaprio, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert, in 2005; three infant children, two grandchildren, her parents, three brothers, and one sister.

A memorial gathering will take place on Sunday, March 31, 2019 at Cornerstone Funeral & Cremation Services, 135 Keller Blvd., Beaver Dam from 1:00 p.m. until the time of the memorial service at 3:00 p.m., with a luncheon to follow.
