(Juneau) Friday is pretty much your last day to vote absentee in-person at your municipal, town or village clerk’s office. Dodge County Clerk Karen Gibson says absentee voting is only prohibited on the Monday before an election but most clerk’s offices, including the one in Beaver Dam, are closed on the weekend. Gibson also recommends checking with your municipal clerk for hours you can vote; in more rural areas those hours will be limited. Gibson reminds voters that they will need a photo ID like a driver’s license of state-issued identification card whether casting a ballot at the polls or your local clerk’s office. She says that photo ID’s do not have to have your current address but must conform to your current name and an expiration date not earlier than the last general election. Other acceptable forms of photo ID’s are a US passport, US uniformed services card, veterans affairs ID card, college photo ID’s with proof of enrollment, receipts from the DMV, a certificate of naturalization, or a tribal ID card.
