Fond du Lac Man Appears For Bomb Threat Charge At Fox Lake Business

(Fox Lake) A Fond du Lac man facing charges for making a bomb threat against a Fox Lake business made his initial appearance in a Dodge County courtroom Monday. Juan Gonzalez is facing one felony count of Bomb Scare. On July 23, a Dodge County Sheriff’s deputy was dispatched to Karavan Trailers located on 100 Karavan Drive. A human resource official with the company informed law enforcement of a conversation that took place between three employees early that day. According to the criminal complaint, Gonzalez told two other workers to not come back into work the following day because he was going to blow up the building. When the other employees where questioned by the deputy they said that they asked Gonzalez if he was serious about the threat or just joking, they said that he had a straight face and never stated he was kidding. Gonzalez allegedly admitted to making these statements but said that he was only joking and was under the impression the other employees thought the same. If convicted, Gonzalez faces three-and-a-half years in prison. Signature bond was set at $1,000 dollars and a preliminary hearing is scheduled for November 8.
